I received a comment regarding the Thousands of Fonts information that I gave out and the question was:

I would love to take advantage of some of those fonts but i don’t know what to do with it once i download it. what do i do with the font or where do i put it so i can use it in microsoft word etc

Please accept my apology for not telling you!

I have been on a Mac for a while now and I have forgotten off the top of my head how to install fonts on a pc but I found a site with great tutorials that will walk you through:  Fonts.com

When you download fonts they come in a .zip file.  You need a method to extract the font from the zip file.  I know that XP would do it automatically and so does Mac OSX.  If your operating system does not unzip files for you, you can download winzip for windows and I think it’s stuffit for Mac.  I believe there are free versions for both.  The tutorial above will alert you to what you need.

Once you install the font, it should be available to you in your programs and you can use them however you like!

I hope that helps.  If you like the information on this site, why not tell a friend!

Thousands of Free Fonts

If you do any ad designing on your own you might have already become a font addict.  If not, here’s your chance.

While reading The Graphic Mac blog I followed a link to free fonts from Billy Argel which led me to Fontspace.com.

That should be more fonts than you’ll ever need.

For free.

Just don’t get mad at me for the time that you’re going to spend perusing and downloading.
